Recommend A Fanfic

So you're thinking about recommending a fanfic to me for consideration? Good! Remember, if you want to submit your own fanfic to me you must use this form. However, there are a few things you have to be aware of first so that you don't waste your time (or mine). If your recommendation is accepted, I'll list you as the one who recommended it as well as send you a little something for your website (if you have one).
First and foremost, is the fanfic shounen ai, shoujo ai, yaoi, yuri, or slash-related? If not, then don't bother sending it in. This may sound unfair to you, but the het fanfics get enough good press as it is. Also, I'm more likely to enjoy a long story than a short one.
Is the fanfic about one (or more) of the following fandoms?:
- Anita Blake
- Digital Monsters (1st & 2nd seasons only)
- Dragon Ball/Z
- Dragonlance
- FAKE
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VIII
- Full Metal Alchemist
- Fushigi Yuugi
- GetBackers
- Gravitation
- Gundam Wing
- Harry Potter (can only be Harry/Draco, Harry/Snape, or Remus/Sirius)
- Inu Yasha
- Queer As Folk (as long as it isn't Brian/Michael)
- Ranma 1/2
- Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors)
- Xena
- Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness)
You are also allowed to submit original stories.
If you can't answer 'yes' to at least five of the questions below (after answering 'yes' to the two previous questions) then I doubt the story will make the site.
- My fanfic is finished or, at least, approximately halfway finished.
- My fanfic has few spelling/grammar/punctuation errors; there are, at most, five (one or two per chapter if it's a multi-part).
- My fanfic has double-spaced paragraphs.
- My fanfic has been beta'ed (or edited) by someone other than me.
- My fanfic can't be read in less than an hour (if it's a humor fanfic then ignore this one).
- My fanfic isn't pure, fluffy romance.
- My lime or lemon fanfic has more to the plot than just the sex.
- My fanfic doesn't contain a Vegeta/Buruma (Bulma) pairing or a Heero/Relena pairing.
- My fanfic has a pairing that's included in this list: Vegeta/Goku, Trunks/Goten, Heero/Duo, Trowa/Quatre, Wufei/Treize, Treize/Zechs, Treize/Wufei/Zechs, Harry/Draco, Ginji/Ban, Brian/Justin, Shuichi/Yuki, Tatsuha/Ryuichi.
If you've passed muster then there are two ways you can send me the fanfic(s):
1) You can use the handy-dandy form below, but only if you have a URL for the story. I prefer this method, actually.
2) You can e-mail it to me as an HTM/HTML (my preference), ODT, DOC, or TXT attachment with "Fanfic Rec" in the subject line. Don't forget to put all of the info from the form below in the body of the e-mail. Items with an asterisk (*) are required.
If you are submitting a multi-part with more than four parts/chapters that doesn't have a "table of contents" page (i.e. you have multiple URLs) or if there aren't "next chapter" links in your files, please send it to me via e-mail or tell me where I can find it (include a link).
