A Thousand Beautiful Things by Lemon Bar
Date: February 3, 2007
Fandom: Queer As Folk
Rating: M
Genre: Alternate Universe, Drama, Romance
Pairing: Brian/Justin
Length: 16 chapters, approx. 200+ pages.
Warning(s): non-con, violence
Summary: (from Midnight Whispers) Between his infuriatingly understanding therapist; 'the gang' who still insisted that he was a part of them; nurses who glared at him for being such a shit, and apparently mistreating their most sacred patient (Justin, his poor mute, helpless roommate), and Justin, not to mention the nightmares he suffered nightly -- Brian severely wondered if perhaps choosing a prison sentence might have been easier on him than the fresh hell that was Liberty Hospital.
Links: Midnight Whispers

Comments: This story is very unique, and very humorous at times. The entire gang is at Liberty Hospital, from Lindsay the psychiatrist to Debbie the hard-assed nurse to clinically-depressed Michael who threatens to drown himself for attention. The sequel, Slowly, but Exceedingly Fine, can be found here.
The ABC Arc by Aja
Date: July 22, 2006
Fandom: Gravitation
Rating: AO overall, but T most of the time
Genres: Romance, Humor, Drama, Lemon
Pairings: Shuichi/Yuki, Hiro/Ayaka, Hiro/K, Hiro/OMC, Touma/Sakano, Ryuichi/Tatsuha
Length: approx. 900+ pages.
Warning(s): There's a drug usage chapter in "Fast Forward" but it's meant to be humorous.
Summary: Shuichi and Yuki enter into a committed relationship.
Links: (in series order) Authors Have Parties, Too?, Bad Luck For Bad Luck?, Commitment, C Between D Lines, Don't Eat the Daisies!, Episodes of Emotional Escapades, Fast Forward, Grasping Glimpses (G-a), Gravitation's Goad (G-b). And there is a side story series caled the ABC Asides.

Comments: This is the longest Gravitation series I've ever read. The ABC Series clocks in at over 250 chapters, but most of them are relatively short. Aja's characterizations and her attention to detail are amazing. She'll also educate you about contemporary Japanese culture while you read.
